I have been in the July 4th mood for a while now. It is my favorite holiday - so decorating for it makes me happy.Lisa M. Pace is my current go to girl for ideas...and she has made some adorable magic wands. So I decided that I too should make some. I have 3 done and have 12 to go. I am giving them to my peeps at work next week along with Old Navy t-shirts.
My friend Susan and I have turned this crazy little idea into a full blown holiday celebration. We are having cupcakes and a luncheon too. She will be doing her crepe paper decorating magic for us. And I will be pulling out lots of decorations to make it all super fun.
Back to crafting now.

hey, susie!
i didn't get your email address *or you didn't give it to me* at vendor's night so i found your blog through your post on the p.c. board.
so, anyway, i haven't even opened the vintage suitcases that i lugged everything home in nor have i written a blog post about the retreat.
of course, if you've looked at my blog lately you'll understand that no one will be surprised by that little tidbit.
i am going to get into the suitcases but it probably won't be until next week.
two reasons.
my sister is here from indiana - funny how i forgot that she would be waiting for me at the ranch when i got home.
and, secondly, and I'M NOT COMPLAINING, simply telling you that i could probably get to the atc's, yours especially, but my fibromyalgia is giving me fits right now and it's all i can do to hold my head up so i'm resting it on the back of my chair as i type:)
so, not much is going to get done around here (and my youngest son's girlfriend *whom i adore* is arriving on monday w/ one of her friends. hope her room looks better than the last time i checked it.) until the middle of next week.
i know you said not to worry about it and i'm not because the real reason for this email post - ha! - is to tell you that i am SO, SO glad that God plopped you in front of me at vendor's night. we both shared hard times with each other and i feel like that has bonded us somehow.
or, i could simply be nuts.
i am glad you participated in the atc swap, and i'm very glad that you had the courage to attend a retreat where you didn't know anyone. that was really brave and your best friend is VERY proud of you.
It's bittersweet when someone we love dies as we both know. But, i also know that your friend and my friend, tina, are so, so, so, so happy, so joyful, that they wouldn't have come back, not even for the paper cowgirl retreat! AND, that they are both so proud of you and the retreat and just all of it.
i look forward to getting to know you better and some day, as soon as we can work it out, we're going to get together for lunch or dinner or both - social stuff that you missed at the retreat! lol
and, of course, junking or working on a piece of art.
where exactly are you?
i'll be putting your atc's in the mail next week, don't worry that i'll forget.
you don't know me well enough to know that that would be a worry of my family, friends, pastor, mailman...............
